Integrated Mental Health & Substance Use Treatment

Substance use is often influenced by stress, trauma history, emotional regulation skills, and underlying mental health concerns. For this reason, our substance use counseling services integrate mental health treatment rather than treating substance use in isolation.

We commonly work with individuals experiencing co-occurring concerns such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Stress and emotional regulation difficulties
  • Relationship challenges and major life transitions
  • This integrated approach significantly improves treatment outcomes and supports long-term success.

Evidence-Based Outpatient & Intensive Outpatient Treatment

(In Person or Online)

Our outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use programs are offered both in person and via telehealth. Treatment is individualized, goal-focused, and rooted in evidence-based practices, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Harm-reduction strategies
  • Relapse-prevention planning

We support clients at all stages of change, from early intervention to long-term recovery maintenance.

Outpatient Support After Inpatient or Residential Treatment

Outpatient substance abuse counseling, whether in person or through telehealth, is especially beneficial for individuals transitioning out of inpatient or residential treatment.

While inpatient treatment provides a strong foundation, returning to daily life often presents new challenges. Continued outpatient counseling or online IOP offers:

  • Ongoing professional support
  • Accountability
  • Guidance applying recovery skills in real-world situations

This continuity of care helps protect the progress made during inpatient treatment and supports long-term stability.

Early Intervention, DUI & Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

All substance use and intensive outpatient (IOP) groups are conducted via telehealth using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. This format allows for consistent participation while maintaining privacy, flexibility, and accessibility.

For clients without reliable access to technology or internet service, arrangements can be made to participate in telehealth groups from one of our office locations with staff support.

If you’re exploring substance use and addiction counseling treatment options, Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) may offer a powerful, evidence-based alternative alongside traditional therapy and medication. Deep TMS uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation and behavior, making it especially helpful for individuals with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, and certain addictive behaviors who have not found relief through conventional approaches. This FDA-cleared, non-invasive therapy requires no anesthesia or systemic medications and has minimal side effects, offering a promising option for those seeking effective relief and renewed hope. At Braden Counseling Center, our compassionate team can help you explore whether Deep TMS is right for your substance abuse and addiction counseling needs and integrate it into your personalized treatment plan.
