At Braden Counseling Center, we are committed to providing you with the best possible care.
Individual counseling provides a safe, supportive space where you can explore challenges, gain clarity, and begin building meaningful change.
What to Expect During Individual Counseling
During your initial appointment, typically a 60 to 90 minute session, your counselor will talk with you about the challenges you are facing and the goals you would like to reach.
We will explore past experiences to better understand why certain patterns may exist in the present. By understanding how past experiences influence current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, we can begin identifying healthier ways to move forward.
Counseling is available for individuals of all ages. Clients may bring significant others to sessions if they choose, though this is not required.
Our goal is to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, understanding, and collaboration, allowing us to create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you.

Mental Health Counseling
At Braden Counseling Center, we understand that managing medication effectively plays a One area our team specializes in is mental health counseling.
Mental health concerns have not always been taken as seriously as they should have been. Fortunately, awareness continues to grow, and more individuals are seeking the support they deserve.
Our trained professionals have experience working with individuals experiencing:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Chronic medical illness
- Emotional and behavioral challenges
Your counselor will listen carefully to your concerns and treat your symptoms with the seriousness and care they deserve. Through evidence-based techniques and practical coping strategies, we help you begin feeling better one day at a time.
Treatment for Bipolar Disorders
Bipolar disorder treatment can be complex and requires proper diagnosis. Bipolar disorder may sometimes be confused with depression, anxiety, OCD, personality disorders, or ADHD. Misdiagnosis can worsen symptoms and delay effective treatment.
At Braden Counseling Center, we help individuals understand the manic highs and depressive lows associated with bipolar disorder. Through counseling and, when appropriate, medication management, bipolar disorder can be very manageable.
Our goal is to help you manage symptoms so you can regain stability and improve your quality of life.

Trauma-Informed Therapy and PTSD Counseling
We have team members trained in treating trauma-related concerns.
Trauma Informed Counseling (TIC) emphasizes listening, empathy, and understanding. Rather than asking what is wrong with you, we focus on what happened to you. This shift helps individuals feel validated and understood instead of feeling like they are a burden.
Trauma is complex and often difficult to process. By providing a safe environment in which to speak openly, trauma therapy helps individuals develop healthy coping mechanisms and begin the healing process.
Our trauma counselors work to build rapport and identify the most effective path forward for each client.
EMDR Therapy
One example of our commitment to helping clients build a better future is EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
EMDR is a structured treatment approach designed to help individuals process traumatic memories using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements. This process has been shown to reduce the emotional intensity and vividness of traumatic memories.
While EMDR is commonly used for PTSD, it can also be helpful in treating a variety of other concerns.

Substance Abuse Counseling and Treatment
Alcohol is not the only substance that can lead to dependency. Substance abuse counseling and treatment is an important process that helps individuals navigate the path toward sobriety.
Both alcohol and substance abuse treatment can be provided on an outpatient basis. Our counselors educate clients on how to face real-world challenges and resist temptations.
Our primary goal is relapse prevention and long-term recovery support, helping individuals rebuild their lives and restore stability within their families.
DUI Counseling and Evaluations
Braden Counseling Center also specializes in DUI counseling and evaluations.
For many individuals, a DUI results in court-ordered evaluation and treatment. Through alcohol counseling, our team helps clients understand the risks associated with alcohol use and meet all required legal obligations.
Completion of DUI counseling and treatment is required before driver’s license reinstatement can occur. We guide clients through each step of the process to ensure compliance.
Counseling and Treatment for Domestic Violence
Braden Counseling Center provides domestic violence counseling through our Partner Abuse Intervention Program (P.A.I.P.).
We work with individuals who have engaged in, or have been accused of, violence toward loved ones. Domestic violence may be physical, emotional, or psychological and is often a learned behavior.
Many individuals who engage in abusive behavior have experienced abuse earlier in life. Through conflict resolution techniques, improved communication strategies, and personal accountability, we help clients address the root causes and begin the process of long-term behavioral change.
Our experienced counselors provide structured support to help individuals unlearn harmful patterns and develop healthier ways of relating to others.
Our Commitment to You
Braden Counseling Center is committed to helping clients find solutions, especially when hope feels distant.
Our individual counseling services are designed to foster trust, understanding, and a personalized treatment plan for every individual who walks through our doors.
