Isaac Gago is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who is passionate about helping individuals of all ages achieve better mental health through compassionate, evidence-based care. He believes every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, and works closely with each patient to develop treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and goals.
Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Isaac spent more than 20 years working as an emergency department nurse throughout the Chicagoland area. His experience caring for patients during some of life’s most challenging moments has shaped his calm, thoughtful approach to mental health care and strengthened his ability to help individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, crisis situations, and other complex mental health concerns.
During his advanced psychiatric training, Isaac completed more than 640 supervised clinical hours and cared for over 400 psychiatric patients across the lifespan. He has experience providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, suicide risk assessments, and individualized treatment planning while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
