Brief Description of Our Counseling Services for Maple Park
Braden Counseling Center (BCC) provides outpatient, and clinical programs and services. Our outpatient services are linked by mutual referral agreements with local hospitals, psychiatrists, physicians, and other behavioral healthcare agencies, so we can provide our clients with the level of care that they need.
At the location serving Maple Park , we provide flexible scheduling and a free initial consultation, making it easy for individuals and families to take the first step on a journey towards changing their lives in positive ways.
Putting lives back on track is our mutual goal. This starts with an intake appointment that helps us to develop a treatment plan that allows you to set goals. When you decide to work with us, we pursue ways to reach these goals together.
We specialize in depression, anxiety, bi-polar, PTSD, substance abuse, DUI services/SOS Driver’s License Reinstatement, anger management, Partner Abuse Intervention as well as family and marriage/couple issues. Whatever your situation, we are here to help. If for any reason, we cannot help you directly, we will refer you to a program that is better suited for you.
DUI Evaluations for Individuals
We offer DUI evaluations and all levels of DUI treatment for our Maple Park clients, as well as our other office locations. If you have been arrested for a DUI charge, our counselors can help you. The State of Illinois requires a DUI evaluation before a DUI case can be closed. We also offer financial assistance for those who qualify.
Our lives are busy and stressful, especially when something like receiving a DUI tips the balance. At Braden, we help you to plan your response and your long-term goals.
We offer DUI evaluations that can be completed in one day. There will be times, however, when obtaining all the documents necessary for the evaluation takes longer than anticipated.
Do not worry. Keep your appointment so that the evaluation process is underway. You will have 30 days from the start of the evaluation process to get all the remaining documents to us. Starting the process gives you the incentive to complete it.
Smart Recovery® – Free Support Group
Aside from providing treatment services we also offer a support group to help people learn new ways of addressing their issues as well as providing support to one another.
SMART Recovery® is a free, face-to-face group that helps you learn tools that empower your ongoing recovery. This group was developed to address addiction and ways to address challenges with substances, shopping, internet, sex, and other addictive behaviors.
The goal of SMART Recovery® is to find ways to live an active, healthy, balanced lifestyle that does not require addictive behavior to feel alive. Our substance abuse counselors serving Maple Park are available for individual sessions as they can be helpful, too.
This group meets in Sycamore on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm.
Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP)
Another valuable program for those with issues that lead to domestic violence is a 26-week, state-mandated program aimed at stopping this behavior through psycho-educational services. This program is offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for males and Thursdays from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm for females.

We provide flexible scheduling for our Maple Park clients, as well as our other locations, so it is always possible to find a time to come in, whether for group or individual sessions.
All of our Braden Counseling Centers are licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse to provide Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Programs.
Our multidisciplinary staff is qualified by all Illinois Circuit Courts to provide outpatient treatment programs for adolescents and adults including DUI Evaluations, Drug and Alcohol Evaluations, Driver Risk Education Programs, Driver’s License Reinstatement, and Early Intervention Programs.
The clinical staff has licensed and/or certified counselors and includes our: Medical Director, psychologists, psychiatrists, licensed clinical professional counselors, licensed professional counselors, certified alcohol and other drug counselors and substance abuse professional (SAP) counselors.
